Chiquita Jackson Enterprise, in collaboration with its research affiliate program, Say It Loud Advocates, is proud to introduce the Community Echo: Amplifying Voices for Change project. This initiative focuses on equitable environmental justice by gathering crucial data and community insights from marginalized areas within Prince George's County, MD. Our targeted locations include Suitland, Greenbelt, Beltsville, Riverdale, and Hyattsville.

Key Findings

Lack of Resources

Many residents expressed a significant lack of resources related to environmental education and programming. This scarcity undermines their ability to participate in environmental advocacy and to protect their local environments effectively.

Health Impacts of Noise Pollution

Noise pollution has emerged as a pressing health issue in these areas. The physical impacts include heightened stress levels and disrupted daily living, which disproportionately affect the most vulnerable populations.

Education and Awareness
